Default Exhaust soot colour - Bosst pressure ??? HELP!

03 JDM Spec-c

Standard apart from a HKS induction kit and a Ganador cat-back Titanium system.

The car has a boost gauge on it. Which under full throttle hovers between 1 bar and 1.2 bar, but occasionsally kinda over boosts to 1.4 bar.

Now on normal driving the colour of the soot in the tail pipe is black, but when track driving it seems to turn an almost copper/orange colour.

The car is not UK remapped, so i run it on super unleaded, and if i am track driving with some Millers +2 Ron booster.

Can anyone shed some light on the boost pressures and the difference in colour in exhaust soot.

Many thanks

Mat

Octane booster can leave an orangey soot coloured deposit (see the article on the scoobynet Spec C - engine stage 2 found via pressing 'articles' in the top banner)
