Im thinking of getting a tsl group n box and the centre pipe, would my car still pass emissions like this?

She's a 93 jdm wrx and the engine is sweet as anything

Or would a remap be necessary?

thanks

Im going to leave the cat downpipe and just lose the centre section and backbox

Hmm i suppose if i do fail i could always **** the thing back on so it won't be a total loss but would a remap still be necessary hmm

To get the best out pf it a remap would be a good idea. depends if you are planning on doing any more mods soon?

There is only 1 cat on a 93 wrx and that's the downpipe the centre section is likely just to be a resonator.
My 93wrx was decatted sometime ago and you get the Basic Emissions Test (make sure when you get the mot done it's done by someone who knows the rules or they test it as a UK spec)

Will do, i'll ask the local garage as to what test he'll run on my car i do know of other friendly testers anyway

No centre cat eh hmm well i saw a big heatshield with a subaru badge so i assumed that it would be the cat ah well

Im just after a decent bit of bark but nothing too deafening so searching around this setup seemed to be the best to have

As above, pre Sep 95 imports are exempt from the cat test and can be tested with the non cat-test. Exempt because there is no exact match on the DOT register.

Did this when I had my old MY95 WRX. The non-cat test is massively lower on emissions.

So decat away fella

Had a Revolution system fitted to mine and the original system was removed and didn't have a centre cat and all the other early ones i looked at didn't have one.
The Revolution system is what you may be after as it's fairly quiet in the cabin but does give a nice noise when pushed. and it's was reasonably priced.
