I own a ver8 Sti (2004) Jap import. The car hasn't been running right since I had a full decat exhaust fitted two weeks ago (as expected)!!! I'm booked in for a remap at the weekend and I hope that this will rectify the problem.

I've been laying off the boost since decat but have noticed that in higher gears the boost increases very quickly without any real acceleration?? The blow off valve releases several continuous 'blows' (v.weak) rather than one short sharp burst (esp. in 4th, 5th and 6th)!!??

Want to make sure this problem is due to the decat so I can sort any probs out b4 re-mapping- don't want to travel 300 miles to find out that something else is the cause of the problem (checked all boost pipes- no apparent leaks or cracks).
