Default Physical differences between WRX and Turbo2000

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a replacement for the engine in my Ver II MY95 WRX and was wondering which blocks are the same.
There are a few out there from 92-96 cars, both UK and import and I'm hoping that someone can advise me if there are any differences at all between the Ver I & Ver II WRX and the UK Turbo 2000 from the same years? From the information that I've gathered so far it appears that the block, heads, etc are identical - only the turbos and engine management are different. Can anyone in the "know" confirm this?
Thanks

UK turbo has a CR of 8:1, WRX is 9:1, so thats probably different pistons, 8:1 is probably better on UK fuel though, other that that, as I understand it, there are no differences.

Thanks alot for that, I wasn't aware if it.
Does this mean that a UK turbo equiped with a TD05 and Z4 ecu performs differently to a WRX?

Thanks, interesting stuff there...
So the UK and WRX engines are definately different, but I'm still not sure about the WRX ver 1 versus the ver 2..... If I find a very low mileage engine from a 94 car, will that "plug and play" without modification?
