Just wondering what the bennefits are of running a front exit exhaust and front mounted turbo, such as Rodger Clarke Motorsports classic that caught fire?

Is the car going to be a road car or a drag car?

you have more room to have a boat sized turbo hanging out the front of the car - well that's what i've seen on most of the drag cars that have it anyway

It's all to do with packaging i.e. where stuff will fit.

I don't think the boys at RCM will thank you for saying that their classic caught fire and it has a front mounted turbo and exhaust. There time attack car has a turbo in the conventional (ish) position and a rear exit exhaust.

I *think* that you are referring to the Zen performance time attack car that set on fire at Japfest (sorry Paul). Mr Zen has minimised all the pipework required and allowed himself a big space to fit a big turbo. It's not a straightforward thing to do though and will require a bit of engineering and a lot of thought and one off parts.
