Bring to TDC remove bottom left pulley near to oil filter ( Not cam pulley ) Remove belt from left cam pulleys slowly releasing any tension and follow to other side, right hand back will be more loaded so once released whip so take more care with this bank.

daft question where is tdc?
I know it is the crank pulley but is it with the key thing at the top?
Also bearing in mind I am removing the heads to check the rings and bearings etc so can reset these at a later date

Center pulley ( Crank ) this has a grove/ timing mark, there is also a timing mark on the block under the crank sensor you need to align the crank mark with the block timing mark.
I will email you a PDF now that will explain what you need to do and make things easier.
If you’re not sure on the timing belt the rest is a different ball game as far as checking ring end gaps bearing tolerances etc, IMO you should maybe let someone else do that for you.

I know what your saying about letting someone else do it, I of course know about tdc, I was just after the pointers on what marks there were as light was fading in the garage so didnt really look closely. Are there marks on the cam wheels as well or is it a case of getting tdc on the crank and then marking the heads and cam wheels?

While ur stripping is there any chance you could start a thread in the gallery forum with ongoing progress pics. I'd be interested to see it in various stages of undress...
And it might even help you when coming to put it back together
