Default Dump Valve Noise

I know this is a very contensious issue and I don't want to make this a thread of if you should or shouldn't use one.

If I wanted to recreate the rally car "chirp" (i understand that a dump valve isn't what creates that noise on a real rally car but this appears to be my only sensible option), which is the best dump valve to buy? I want it to be high quality so will not leak under high boost etc. but also don't want to be decribed as a lorry or bus!

yeh the hks has interchangable gold and purple adaptors which change the noise of the dump from low to high pitch chirp.

Its the antilag forcing the turbo into reverse that causes the chirping sound on the WRC cars

Is it a chirp? Or is it a whoosh of air sounding noise? I need to find myself a car with one fitted to hear it for myself i think......

Should you get a remap after fitting a BOV / dump valve?

I know loads of people hate BOV's but I must admit I love the flutter sound some of them make

I recommend the Turbosmart VEE PORT Dump valve. Sounds great when you apply the right foot but can happily drive around town without hearing it at all.

no need to remap a DV you will notice absolutely 0 percent increase in performance but have to admit when cruising down a country lane the sound of the valve adds to the rally car effect (well for me it does) in town they are a little bit of a nuisance as they pull attention of the local plod,
