Question Cel light and stalling

Hi fitted fmic other week and waiting off to get it remmaped as fitting 20 G td05.
Drove 200 miles yesterday without a hitch and drove through some very heavy rain, car was fine this morning going to work, but this afternoon i headed out and the cel light stayed on, have a complete loss of power at 3500 RPM and stalled at idle.
Sounds fine on idle but is just dying at 3500rpm.

Any clues tips or advice would be great

Bry

What year is your car m8?
It will help others to diagnose the fault.
If its a classic have you read the cel code that's showing?

The car is a 2000 turbo on a W reg, Code appears to be code 12, one long flash followed by two quick flashes.
Thanks

Sounds similar to posts regarding a fault MAF (the 3500 loss of power). MY00 does suffer with MAF problems and they may or may not generate a CEL.

CEL could be total coincidence and nothing to do with the 3500rpm fault ?
