Rev
My brothers just got himself a MY97 classic (UK) which has 3 'A' pillar guages. One of them is a rev counter but it isn't connected. Is the wiring coming from the gearbox (just back if the G/B dipstick) the signal for the normal rev conter. Also, if i was it splice into this would it affect the normal rev counter display due to a volt drop accross 2 guages instead of 1? I told him to just swap the guage so i didn't have to mess with it but he's adament he wants a 2nd rev counter WTF for god only knows.
Cheers

it would make a difference if it worked on resistance but i dont think it does so he should be ok. the best thing is to try and if it affects the normal counter unconect the second 1. why bother with 2 though. better off getting ta different gauge maybe oil pressure or oil temp. gotta be of more use than 2 rev counters surely??

Yeah mate I know I've been through this. I think maybe he's a bit skint and its Pi55ing him off not having the guage working but doesn't want to shell out for a replacement.
