Default EJ20 engine swap

Hi there,
my mate in Bulgaria has just got a 2007 impreza after smashing his Evo(yay!!), problem is that its a 1.5 hahaha. Obviously he's bin askin if theres anything he could do 2 make it quicker, and i wondered seeing that its an EJ20 they use in the wrx and sti etc, if an EJ20 from say a classic impreza would fit straight in.

Cheers
Olly

reasonable amount of work..

best to buy a crashed sti and transplate the lot from a similar year..
ie. engine, gearbox, driveshafts, hubs, antiroll bars, brakes, ecu, loom etc..

Better to just but a WRX or STi in the first place.
