Default MOT Nightmare

hi i am fed up of changing the down pipe to standard for the MOT. my car is full decated and re-maped to 330Whp. it also has an upgraded fuel pump, bigger turbo, bigger top mount intercool, induction kit,

will it be alright if i put on the following:

1. sports cat? will it past mot?
2. standard cat? will it damage the engine if i left it on forever?

thanks for all your help.

Get yourself a friend who has had the PPP done and had the foresight to ask for his centre cat back. I kept mine and just bolt it on at MOT time. It needs to be nice and hot but will get you through.

Or just get a sports cat and you'll find that your car works perfectly well with no hassles. I really cannot think of anything more pathetic than running around in the 21st century with a decat on. OK at much higher power levels there may be a case for deleting the cat, but on road driven Scoobies it's just silly. Mine's running over 300bhp and the sports cat is absolutely no restriction at all. I have no difficulty whatsoever making boost, no spool problems, in fact the very opposite.
