Default is my boost too high?

its a 95 wrx, ive just fitted a decat (wrapped)zorst, and it has no other mods.
i put a boost gauge on because i was interested to see what it was running at
and its running to (and holding) 15psi, does this sound ok cos its my 5th scoob and it seems faster/torquier than the others, including my old RA
ive even been and bought a turbosmart boost controller in case i need to turn it down
thanks

sounds like it has a scoobyecu fitted or the like. i have a scoobyecu and it chaged my boost level up to 15psi too. makes a massive difference. open up your ecu and see if the spare slot is filled with a new chip

15psi is only just over 1 bar (quite near fuel cut though 15.65psi if it's got a z4 ecu).
Although if as above you've got an extra chip it may have raised the fuel cut.
