what kit have you fitted?

Yes they often need to be mapped for as the air flow the maf is measuring is all wrong

did you read what he posted at all?

Jim - try calling someone like ASP, Zen Performance, Scoobyclinic etc on the phone - I am sure that they will have one to fit but probably dont list them as the market is much smaller.

Answered on SF.org, but any classic impreza induction kit will fit, but don't expect to gain any power, a drop in and 'snorkus' (intake silencer) delete are just as effective and a lot cheaper, you won't need a remap.

My 99MY was running 187bhp (small among Imprezas, but a useful improvement from the 168 stock, critcally it was running 210lbft from about 2000rpm) at the SF RR day, and is now running a bit more (about 200 by this weekend), all for less than £200 spent so far, pm me if you want more details.

You want a non cat centre, most STi's seem to be non-cat (although some websites say some are catted!) but WRX and UK turbo are all meant to be catted (P1 and 22B are non cat I'm told), mine came off a 95MY as definately non cat! API (Warwickshire) offered me one for £50, Foresters for £80 and had quotes of £75 elsewhere, which seemed steep for a cast off, mine cost £40 with an (STi?) twin exit back box, which is conveniant for me right now but will probably end up on ebay!

if you pm me your email address I can send you a word document detailing my 'ghetto' boost increase that liberated about an extra 20bhp (dyno tested, safe AFR's no det)
