VTA or Re-circ's shouldn't affect your MAF.... induction kits on the other hand might

Basically, by fitting a dump valve, you will confuse the car's fuelling for a fraction of a second when you close the throttle, i.e. change gear or lift off.

Where with a recirculating valve, air is passed back into the inlet, with an atmospheric, i.e. noisy, dump valve, the air "goes missing" and so there is a bit too much fuel for a small amount of time.

In practice, this means you will feel "lag" when changing gear and it won't run as smoothly as with a recirculating valve. You'll also get pops out of the exhaust as the extra fuel explodes.

They're crap...don't do it. Fun for five minutes then you'll get bored.

Forge VTA's aren't very loud IMO

Whether that's a good or bad thing is down to preference.

I have this one fitted:-

Dual Stage BOV - WorxTuning Components

Won it on US ebay.

It's a hybrid, you can set to full recirc or 100% VTA, makes a nice woooosh above 4000rpm
