Can someone tell me what an up pipe does and should this be upgraded if de catting exhaust system ?

Does the up pipe have a cat as ive seen them advertised as de cat up pipes ?

You have a classic, which doesn't have a cat in the up-pipe, so better to spend your readies on a sportscat downpipe for £300ish from Scoobyworld or API.

It connects exhaust manifold to turbo, IIRC.

IIRC = If I Remember Correctly

I assume he means that rather than "If I Really Cared"
