I think the MY03 Sti came with a VF35 turbo. £300 for a second hand unit or around £550 new.

Firstly: damn, that's unlucky. Do you think the two failures may be related? E.g. old turbo spewing it's guts into the oil which then screws the engine up or similar?

Secondly: API are your friends

Hi Mate,

At a guess i would say its related, i beleive something broke in engine, traveled up through turbo and kindly broke it for me,

Think its time to contact API.

Should we have a bet on what goes next?
