I done it on my 1995 WRX and as far as i remember i needed two sets of 10mm spacers to lift the manifold high enough to fit an STI 3 inlet tract that also needs to be fitted to go from turbo to air filter.

You may be able to buy 20mm ones now i dont know.

I also had to swap the power steering pump and reservoir to a later model one, think it was 99+ model that had corner cut out of it to enable the inlet tract to bypass it.

Bit of work involved matey, not as easy as fitting a set of spacers

Why dont you use a 90degree hose on the front of the turbo? Gotta be cheaper and easier than fitting spacers.

Yea andy F suggested using 90 hoses.

I will probably do that but was just looking at the conversion to see if it was cost effective.

If i was to do the conversion so far ive been told i need,

MY99+ power steering pump + resovior
20mm manifold spacers
new turbo inlet pipe.

Is that it anyone know of any other parts needed?

Also has anyone had any experience fitting one of andys 20g to a 93 wrx using 90 bends

cheer all

I have afront entry IHI Turbo on my 1995 wrx and im using a 90 samco hose it's not quite straight forward as I had to cut the hose to make it fit, it is very very very tight against the manifold !
