Carbon canister removal?

Carbon canister removal?
Seen a few people have done this ,is it worth doin/what are the reasons for removing it?,what does it actually do?,are there any guides to removing this?

I removed mine cus it had a hole in. Mine had two pipes from the top of the canister, just connect them together. There are not any power gains by removing it.

removed mine as well so i could fit a induction kit heat shield.
2 pipes at the top and 1 at the bottom, i just used a T pice and put them all together.

Sound may aswell do it as long as there are no issues with removing it!

moved mine to create space to locate power steering reservoir. cant really see the point of removing it unless its in your way for some other reason.

They weigh a fair bit iirc..?
If so, from a handling point of view, any weigh reduction in the nose of the car would be worth doing IMHO.

It weighs pretty much nothing! You wont gain anything weight wise removing it!

just t the top pipes together and vent to chassis.

i removed mine to fit a straight through samco pipe with no breathers and then a aps kit

same sort of size the boost pipes are, around 3-5 mm i think
