Sti N12+ ??? ??? ???
I am on the market for a new Impreza Sti.
I got a little confised when i met 2 sellers (at different shops) who claimed to have for sale brand new Impreza Sti N12+ versions. They told me the big difference is that N12+ comes equipped with a Torsen LSD and fully forged pistons. I know the 2007 model has some improvements over the 2006 model - like the torsen diff (while the 2006 still uses the helical), but i have never heard "N12+". I also check the VINs of the cars in stock and they turned our 2006 model (USA spec). I browsed through the internet but could find totally nothing about this "N12+" rumor.
Any comment would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks a lot!

Isn't N12 refering to the homalogation reference number of Group N rally cars?
N9 was for the bugeye group N car and has now worked up to N12 for the newest shaped Impreza.
The cars you have spotted may well be Spec C cars that have been converted for Gp N use and are not for road use?

I asked them today how it is determined whether the car is N12+ or not and they told me it should be included in a factory spec sheet sticker on the windshield (the one i saw had the sticker removed - since hast been test driven a couple of times).
