Default Remove gearbox ? Why is it so hard !!!

I managed to remove all nuts, starter and all the rest of stuff from gearbox. Its off the engine but it still would not come off. It gets stuck like its cataching on something..

So looked in the manual and saw some stuff about clutch release bearing fork. So I removed 10mm hex plug at side but dont see how to remove the clutch release bearing fork. In manual it says I must remove shaft holding fork in, but how do I do this ? There is no nut just a threaded hole

This is driving me round the bend, its so frustrating, Im so close but damn thing wont come off. If anybody could help. I would appreciate it.

Remove a bolt from the cam cover and screw it in to the hole in the casing. Inside the hole is a steel shaft with a thread in the end that you need to pull out to remove the fork. Once you have the pin out lift up the fork and fasten it up with cable tie etc and then pull the box off about one inch them undo the cable tie and pull the box off with the fork attached....enjoy

Or just lift the fork out of the bearing and make sure it does not slide back in again and forget the cable tie.

Thanks for the help, you are a star. I will try this tomorrow.
I thought I have to screw a nut into the threaded pin but was unsure of thread size. Last thing I want to do is cross thread a screw in there. If you say cam cover bolt will work i will try. Is it one of bolts from front of cam cover ?

Yes the 10mm head ones at the front of the cover, you can feel the pin if you put your finger in the hole. Its about 1" in dia and about 6" long.

When you refit the box slide it on until you have about 1" or 2" left before it butts up the block and then slide the fork into the bearing. The bearing has 2 square holes either side that the fork fits in to. It all becomes clear once you have it in bits.
