225/45/17 on a UK classic?
I upgraded my wheels from the standard 16s to 17s. The 17" wheels came with 215/45/17 tyres on as originally fitted to them, and were from a newage WRX.
The question is, can I put 225/45/17 onto these wheels, and will they be ok on my UK classic MY99. I don't want any rubbing or issues when on full lock.

Same as mine. No rubbing at all. They did rub though if I hit a large bump on the standard shocks/springs but they may have been a bit sloppy. Ive since stiffened it all up, lowered the front by 25-30mm and no problems now..

Hmmm, thanks for the input. Worries me a little that they rubbed when you hit a large bump when using standard shocks...as that is what I have on mine atm

The correct size for 17's on a classic are either 205/45/17 (as fitted to P1's) or 215/40/17 which is a very close conversion size.
