how do i work this pipe flaring tool?

Ive brought this flaring tool and im not sure if its the right one,its dos;nt even work properly infact it does more damage than good, i need it to flare the end of my brake pipes does anyone know what i need? its also says it does double flares? is it a double flare i need of a single?

I take it there weren't any instructions with it?
I bought a similar kit to do the brake lines on my pug, really easy after a couple of practice goes.
For brake lines you need a male flair, it was singles on my car. You cut the pipe square, put the union on the correct way, grip the pipe in the vice (leaving about 4 or 5 mm sticking out), use the right size die, press the die into the end of the pipe until the flair is made. You will need a few practice runs first.
