Unhappy sti impreza, help!



hey guys got an sti impreza 96 about a month ago, haven't been driving it much, started missing an aful lot lately up in high rev's do i defo need a remap?!

if so ne tips on wher i shud go?

its not safe to run on irish petrol without high octane either is it whilst its not remapped!?

check plugs and coil paks as these are the usual suspects.
Do you not get any 99RON fuel in Ireland?

I think Ireland has no high octane, so he could be living on his last cat's life!

Remap required to suit local fuels.

ah ya no dat bu jus wonderin herd yer man sayin its alrite ta run on irish fuel for a while bu wudn wana chance it.. scoobys nt avin a gud name wit d aul engines ta begin wit..!

nah i added octane booster ta make it 99RON bu seein as jap fuel 102 nd ders nowher ta get da round ere id say a remap is due!!

Jap fuel isn't 102 ron (especially when your car was released) so what you're doing now is fine but deffo get a remap for whatever fuel you can get your hands on.
Plenty of people in the Uk but have no idea about Ireland.

Is the tank still full of old fuel , if so it will have gone off? It has a shelf life of 6 months. Had a similiar(?) problem last week with a fiat , fuel was 12 months car old stuttered like arkwright at high revs.
