Default More Probs with Headers

The day gets better and better and oh better.

Purchased soem Standard Headers that have been Polished and Ground already with heatwrapp. they were fitted to a 2.5 Engine and before that a Classic WRX block.

It doesnt seem to have the hole for the sensor on the headers. I have the Cell fix already for the UP Pipe but im sur ei need this sensor can any one help it looks to me like a lambda sensor

I would think it all depends what year model the original headers came off.
As the older pre96 models had the hole in the headers for the lamba sensor.
Not sure about 97/98 models but the later models had the lamba in the downpipe (back of the turbo)

My v4 headers had no take off at all. The only holes were in the downpipe - lambda at the top just above the cat and exhaust gas temp below the cat. If it's an EGT sensor that you've got there you can either get a boss welded in somewhere else for it, or just leave it. It doesn't make any difference to the running of the car, unless your cat's on fire.
