Has anyone any experience of the 'SIMOTA Impreza Carbon Fiber Aero Form' air intake /air box on an blobeye STi (03) - preferably a Spec C but if not any STi, UK or JDM.

The question is ------is this just under bonnet bling or a true performance product?

 

I bumped into it at donny at the weekend as was asked what i thought by the man in charge of the stall .I told him it looked nice , and asked if it worked , he told me that it was the best intake availble ,but looking at it ,it looked as restrictive as the standard air box (very long narrow intake going to a circular filter),he seemed adamant it was the best.I also asked about fitment with front mounted intercooler,he told me i would need a different intake.It looked well put together and very classy but was realy a standard air box in carbon.
