Default STI v3 Import Preparation

My STI v3 is finally in the country and will be with me shortly. All I have to do is fit a rear fog light and MOT it.

On the issue of the fog light - where's the best place to take a 12v feed that is live when the lights are on? Purple wire from the front fog switch?

I've got a KPH-MPH converter that goes into the back of the speedo cable, however as my car has 240kph clocks I'm debating whether to fit it - a 240mph clock could be a bit silly.

I've heard that these cars should only be run on 100+RON fuel, so have some octane boost ready. A longer term solution is to get a PowerFC fitted and mapped which I am saving up for.

Is there anything else I should look out for/replace, other than having a major service? I've heard the MAF sensor can be problematic, but think this was on later cars?

Thanks for any advice

Got a v3 mate and yeah the MAF's are very delicate ,on my 3rd MAF but that has a lot to do with the vibration caused by my Coilovers.

The mafs on version 3/4 imprezas are the strongest and do not go very easily. I have had my sti 3 for nearly 3 years, and replaced the maf when i got it as a precaution and its never given me any issues.
