Just looking to find out if a cat-back system will give me the burbling noise that all imprezas are famous for. I will at some stage decat the car, but for now im doing it in bits and pieces. Cheers!

 

The burble comes from the unequal length headers (on most turbo models, some later STi models have equal length), so any straight through/de-catted/un-resonated exhaust section (centre section or backbox) will unleash more of the burble.
