Default Started to fit the fmic

and i was wondering if i could get away with leaving the black plastic under tray off, or do i need to trim it and refit. Does it have any purpose?

left mine off but i would also remove the one off the gear box ( don't want it flying off on the motorway )

Although it can be trimmed to fit, I'd leave it off.
Leaving it off makes the car run a lot cooler (I've seen over 7C difference in oil temp) since you get the air hitting the sump etc...
