Default Boost leak?

After upgrading my standard classic tmic to a newage wrx 1 there is occasionally a loud whooshing noise. this only seems to occur when either cornering left and accelerating at the same time or when gearing down, engine breaking and then accelerating. it only lasts a split second and then boosts like hell again. i have a bailey DV12 and am still running standard boost and standard hoses.

hi mate, i had a similar problem about 2 months ago. i could hear whooshing sound when it did that my car hesistated allot, my dump valve and everything else sounded normal. it ended up being a leak in pipe work for my fmic. for me it was the pipe which connects to the turbo. I had this refitted with some extra Silicone and it solved my problem.

Just make sure you check all your pipe work, clean the boost solonoid with brake cleaner. hope fully that may fix your problem.

regards

p.s im guessing your new age tmic is been modified to fit your classic. have you checked all the welds. thats if you have welded the bit where the dump valve fits on the orignal newage tmic.
