fitting knocklink and kit

Default fitting knocklink and kit

hi all got the knocklink and sensor kit with bosch sensor just trying to work out the following, once I have removed old sensor the kit is in no way connected to ecu so what do I do with the old sensor lead?

When i fitted mine i left it on. The Knocklink with bosch sencor gives you a warning not the car so you can take your foot of the gas.

ive never owned or fitted one but im 100% that you are meant to leave the original sensor in place connected to the ecu and bolt the new sensor somwhere else on the block.

problem is i brought the knocklink as my knock sensor was knackered so thought it would be a replacement is there anyway around it so I dont get the CEL?

If its the sensor could you not wire the boss sensor to the original one ? Prob not but might be worth a try

Somebody will be along in a min who no's

the bosch is a two pin connection and the standard is a single mount!! cheers for replys mate
