I have a MY95 WRX Import and getting the error code for this & the car's in limp mode - spin the cable up manually and the speedo works so it must be what turns it inside the gearbox.

Anyone know what's in there, or anyone got a schematic?

 

does it have a km to mph converter on it?

cable one? ie. box on / near the gearbox and cable goes into it?

if so it is mostlikely that..

Na, mine has the cheaper (& more inaccurate) kind behind the instrument cluster.
