yea theres a gasget in there, a new gasget is probably in order. Just to check.Has it got the original hose clips on it Just like two wires running around the hose? If it has i would suguest removing it and fitting a proper jubilee clip as a first. i have known the o/e ones to leak a little. Also when the hose is of run some emery(sand) paper around the housing to smooth it and take any limescale off.
hi m8 im confused now most people said thermostat housing ! prob is its leaking only little at the mo im losing about half inch out of header tank i only do about 3 miles a day ive got no overheating probs or strange noises ! thanks 4 reply m8 r u def sure it w/pump ?
There is 4 hoses connected to it, 3 small ones about 1/2" and the large one to the rad, the one shown is a small 90 deg hose, you will need to run car and see where water is coming from.
I'm pretty sure thats the water pump thats there. Mine had it replaced and thats what it looks like!! if you take another pic without zooming in so much it would be easy to tell. Im about 90% sure thats the water pump though. I'm certain that the bottom hose feeds the water pump aswell!
