Default Help Needed please

I have a 1994 M plate Impreza and was checking my air filter today, when i removed the air resonator the little nipple snapped off the bottom, until i can get me hands on a new one what should i do, plug up pipe??? or leave open???? can someone please give me advice as i dont even know what it does...

Are you talkign about the pipe that comes of the bottom of the boost control solenoid? If so just enlarge the hole in the resonator and push it in.

yes thats the pipe, wot does it actually do???? will i have any problems if i just push it in unsealed???? cheers

Its just bleeded air from the control of boost from the boost control solenoid, its clean air so its just vented back in to the induction system. It will do no harm to enlarge the hole and push in the pipe, make sure the pipe isnt a slack fit though. You could just block up the hole on the resonator and leave the pipe venting to atmosphere, its up to you. I would refit to the resonator.
