Convert KMH Clocks too MPH
I own an impreza wrx sti 94. GC8 EJ20 (Import)
I want to upgrade the clocks to the half digital 99 version.
can this be done and how?
if anyone could enlighten me i would appricate it.
If this cant be done for any reason can someone sugest a nice replacement clock/Speedometer.
i want it to be bright and impressive.
All the best

Buy yourself a mechanical speed converter which fits in between the 2 speedo cables & place a mph sticker over the kph symbol on the speedo clock.
Electronic will require rewiring & the later speed sensor. As well as a electronic speed converter. Then you will need a new dash to fit the later clock.
The first option is the easiest.

Thankyou for the reply's
Seanie boy, thanks for letting me know about the post in projects. just been having a read looks like a pritty big job.
thinking i might just do the straight forward add on of the Kmh to Mph converter as sugested by Ticky. Well for now at least
It was actually Tickys post in projects regarding the upgrade'ed dash etc.
just been reading it, sounds like it took some time to do all of that mate.
Brilliant write up though, will deffinatley be very handy.
thanks again.
