ABS light on but no breake lights

As stated abs light came on and as i was only parked at the time i noticed that i had no brake lights at allso drove home by which time i noticed one brake light was back on any 1 got any ideas? when i swiched the car off and back on the abs light had turned off

maybe a bad earth,
on the inner wing drivers side the abs pump is earthed to the body ( near strut mounts) remove the bolt and clean the contacts with some wet n dry
