My 1996 RA did that, found it did not do it until full boost fast driving. Found it was the radiator with a hairline crack which did not leak under normal driving. Replaced the radiator and only then could i see the crack after close inspection of the old radiator. Another thing i noticed was the smell when i stoped driving it was a hot smell.
Hope that helps

Check what neil says first, but if all is ok then one of thwe head gaskets is done for.
Engine out and about £150 parts + labour etc.
Quite a big DIY job.

They did mine 3 years ago and I seriously race my Sti 400 bhp @ 1.6 bar etc and all is well.

Corroded Impeller on the Water Pump ??
Normally only happens when NOT run with Antifreeze in the system.
API gets my vote for Repairs.

I had a WRX STi Type RA which boiled the water, turned out to be the water pump as mentioned above.

It will be worth checking your engine oil to see if it is milky (look at the dipstick). If it is then you are loosing coolant into the sump via the head gasket.

Had problem with my 94 wrx losing coolant. Perfect at idle but as soon as i'd start driving it would empty! Turned out to be the header tank leaking. Changed tank nows it's sorted.
