HLP PLS - ONLINE GUIDE TO CHANGE CAMBELT ON 2000 'BUGEYE' UK WRX
Hi All,
Looking for an online or other guide for my mechanic to chane the cambelt on my 00 'X' reg wrx wagon. Is the engine fitted to this any different to the 'classic' subaru in relation to changing the belt? - as i believe this model is listed but the later is not in my mehanics book.
Many thanks for any pointers- great forum
Best Regards

There is a excellent thread on the P1 forum, showing pictures with detailed description of what to do.
Timing belt change is the same across all subaru 2.0 turbo models, the only different parts are the tensioner & cam wheels. But the basic fitting method is the same.

If your mechanic has auto data on a computer it's all there thats what i did my first one from. i've done quite a few of them now no special tools needed just a few extra hands can help

BLIMEY! Local Partco has just come back with £134.20 + VAT just for the tensioner alone. This seems very expensive to me - can i source this cheaper elsewhere? regards fraz
