Default Speed Limiter

I have a MY97 JDM Scoob. I was just wondering what would happen if I hit the speed limiter? I believe it has one around the 110mph mark but if I took it on the track and hit it would I be doing any damage or is it purely there to stop the Japs from speeding?!!!!

Has anyone experienced hitting it?

cheers Jamie

Thanks for the quick responses. So how can I get rid of it? Is it a case of getting the car mapped?

You need something like this

Top Speed Delimiters - Thor Racing (Japanese Performance Car Tuning)

Dont know if this is the right one for the Impreza but this is what you need to be looking for. I had mine done by a local garage whi charged £70 all in on my forester. Works a treat.

The JDM limit is 112mph by the way.
