From: Down South to Ooop North to Back Down South again!!
Piece of cake. I changed my MY95 for MY00 ones. It's just simply bolted down at the front & back & you'll just need a socket set. One thing to be aware of though, if you're replacing them with new seats be warey that the seatbelt socket may be different & may need changing for the one attached to the original seats. Check before changing as I didn't & they're a bugger to change when the seats are already in.
Also cover the sills with a blanket or something as they are easily scratched with the seats if you don't.
Should take about 30/40 mins to do both.

I've just read what you asked again & I hope you're not planning on changing the driver for the passenger seat & vice versa as this just won't work as the seatbelt position will be on the wrong side.

I had seat bobbles on my old car, got rid of them all using an anti fuzz fabric shaver.
Cheep chaddy but handy gizmo that looks like an electric shaver brought my seat back up as good as new..
Worth a try to save the agro of changing seats over.
