Default Down pipe questions

Hi, i am looking to replace my front cat. And are unsure which downpipe to go for. My car has a front cat back Jap system.

Which downpipe to go for?
Does it need to be wrapped?
Do i need an up pipe?
Is it worth replacing the headers while im doing the down pipe?

Sorry for all the questions but i am a newbie in search of info.
Many thanks in advance.

If your exhaust is 2.5 in diameter go for the ninja sports cat DP £299 from Scoobyworld.

Good idea to wrap; helps reduce engine bay temps

AFAIK Up pipe of that year has not cat, so you don't strictly need to replace it. You may benefit from a better one though.

Wouldn't go for aftermarket headers unless yours are in a poor state. Just get your headers ported and wrapped.

Problem is, AFAIK you're going to need a new ECU and remap with that little lot to keep the car running safely

Have a word with someone like David at API, or your local ubaru specialist.
