Default standard 95 wrx boost question

hi guys i have a standard wrx 95 it has a k&n cone filter other than that its standard ,engine wise.i have just fitted a boost gauge an i was told it should not read any thing above 1.1 bar otherwise this it bad.but when i got it up an running it only shows 0.9 bar of boost on a cold night .can some one clear this up for me ,is my wrx under boosting?ive allways thought it boosted really well an am very happy with it ,an would be even more happy if i found out i could wind it up a tad more safely on standard engine an tdo4..any of you input would be gratefully appreciated

Standard boost is about 0.8 bar sounds like the car is okay running standard boost you can not just turn the boost up without supporting mods or engine will go pop .

WRX (1995/96) ECU Z4 - 12.71psi, dropping to 11.78psi @ 6600rpm. Fuel-cut 15.65psi.
Your turbo should be a td05 (if it's an import saloon,wagon has a td04)
