Default Boost levels?

Hi just wonderin if anyone knows what boost is safe to rrun on the standard turbo? Is 15psi (1bar) about the limit with the standard turb? Don't want to fry the turb before I can get either a hybrid or an upgrade. Im also using a fmic. Cheers

1.2 is about the highest I'd push a standard

1.1 is safer(r)

dont just crank the boost up though without having fueling sorted as this will cause serious engine damage

are you asking what is a safe boost for your turbo or for your engine?

If you have a td05 then you can easily run 1.4 bar assuming supporting mods (engine mapped to suit etc) If your talking about a standard engine, then again depending on car / ecu used you will have a fuel cut to protect the engine if boost exceeds standard

if you have a tdo5 don't run 1.4 on it unless your fuel system has been uprated

well from what i gathered the uk turbo has a fuel cut off of 18psi and the ppp on a uk turbo brings it upto 16.5 psi and i had my uk turbo checked at a dealer at it was hitting a max of 14.7 psi as standard, pressure varies because of weather, temperature etc. on a tdo4

What turbo?

On td04 tuners tend to stick with 1.25bar or below? Not sure what theoretical maximum is however.
