Hi All..

I am thinking of purchasing a Ninja Sports Cat for my 02 Sti UK Impeza, after removing the existing 2 cat's and installing the sports cat is there anything else I need to do?

I have heard that to get the best out of it you need a ecu remap... what happens if you don't do this, will you damage the car and have poor running?
I was also told that I will get an engine management light come up on the dash.. how do you cure this?

I currently have a green pannel; filter and cat back ninja exhaust system...

any help greatfully received..

What you suggest (the Ninja Sportcat) is a good idea. It'll lower your spool up point a bit, liberate a few more bhp and sounds deep'n'throaty (LOL !).

You will get a lot more benefit from the exhaust powerwise if you remap the ECU, and yes, it's recommended re engine fueling so it's better for the sake of the engine to remap.
