What year of car ??
Some have two, Manifold Collector Box before the uppipe & after the cat beyond the turbo.
Earlier cars have them before the Cat in the Down pipe after the Turbo.
Should be quite easy to spot as there are not many things screwed into the exhaust !!

On my 93 wrx it is on the exhaust manifold, and can be found by looking right under the drivers side front wheel arch/corner of front bumper area.
