Default power estimate? + gearbox?

I'm looking to get a wagon soon, strip it, i mean literally strip it bare/ carbon etc. (why?, i love wagons) I only want 300bhp out of the engine, as its gonna be so light, power to weight ratio should be good. So... 94' wagons jdm, have 220bhp right?

So where will it get me if I, get a full decat, sti v3 intercooler, tdo4 turned up to 1.1bar/ walbro fuel pump with a esl chip + running on v power?

Whats the max I can turn the tdo4 up to? i've heard of 1.2/1.25, but also heard it will be useless as it wont hold that after 3rd gear. and will probably melt the turbo lol. This is the td04 from classic not newage.

Dont get me wrong, I would love loads of power, but dont want to change the injectors or gearbox. I know the td05 will do the trick, wont i be maxing out the injectors? plus anything over 300bhp is gonna stress the gearbox/clutch.

Please advise guys

Personally I would say the TD04 will be at its max trying to run 300bhp, best get a TD05 running 1.1/1.2 BAR

Also STi 3 intercooler? is that any different to the normal WRX IC? might want to go for an STi4 or 5 thats had the dump valve location moved.

A chip, full decat, performance air filter and the TD05 running 1.1BAR should see you near 300bhp (infact I have all of the above and will get it on the dyno soon) Injectors will be close to MAX dunno what injectors a wagon has but mine must be close to their max.

My gearbox and clutch seem to be coping fine and dont forget if yours is gonna be extreamly light weight there will be less inertia to overcome.

Gaz

p.s. you the same harry007 that used to have the silver wagon with rally stickers?

Ye I still got the RED WRX, just looked at the link and remember that Car thought you'd left the scooby world, knew you'd be back though lol

Also I think DemonTweeks sell roll cages from all the best makers, OMP, sparco,Custom Cages, safety devices, and can supply all the padding and other lightweight race stuff you might need.

Not alot been happening, tried to arrange some meets but not much of turn out. Like I said, I now have a full 3inch system with heat wrapped downpipe (and because its an MY93 takes a non-cat test ) has a bailey dump valve, chip, STi 4 intercooler with Modded DV port (not fitted the IC yet) GAB strut brace, whiteline anti-roll bars, K&N panel filter, new toyo tyres and a nice set of 4-pot brake calipers, with 6 grooved disks arrived today.

Its all good, lol

sounds like a cool idea...

Thinking about it you want 300BHP, and so did I and I have pretty much completed what I set out to do and the car is so much more drivable for it. Not only is it a fairly cheap way to get there but seems to be quite reliable and very effective. Future plans are mainly suspension... also some asthetics, bonnet and front wing need a re-spray cos they started to bubble think it might be due to a previous, bad, repair?

you ever use msn? PM me your addy
