lookin for a gearbox to handle 330bhp for my00 turbo 2000. shorter ratios would be nice also. which gearbox should i look for want to be able to do
130+ still tho. how much will it set me back also. cheers

 

6 speed from an STi 7 Type UK.
(and the same prop shaft will be required)
Mine cost £1600, todays price seems closer to £2k

as long as you dont rape it most standard ones are fine for that level.

If you want shorter ratios then look for a type R box.

 

If you want shorter ratio's but not really short got for an STI 5/P1 box and rear diff.

Fitted one to my MY99 uk car, it's excellent as 4th and 5th are stacked better, the type R box is too short as the redline is 1000rpm higher in a type r

All in cost was about £1000 but I also fitted an Exedy Organic clutch at the same time which was about £350.

The box and rear diff cost me £400.
