swapping clocks

Default swapping clocks

Anyone converted the clocks on a classic to imperial? if i stayed with kph would it fail the mot like this?

If its pre97 then its more than likely cable operated (mechanical) convertor required.
Get a convertor & place a mph sticker over the kph.
The convertor fits inbetween the speedo cables (gearbox)
Or change the speedo dial so its range is calibrated to read in mph.

Electronic type speedo (later cars 98 onwards) also needs a convertor but this is wired into your speedo wiring.
