May have an answer after 12 as i'm going to my local garage as mine has done it for some time and they noticed it when they fitted the rear droplinks.

Were the shocks you replaced brand new? Mine was doing exactly the same and it turned out the shocks were knackered.

I know you said you've checked exhaust movement, but are you sure the back box isn't clattering against the ARB?

Could also be a knackered top mount.

is the jack stored in a compartment inside the rear on the left. Could be something as simple as that isn't fastened in properly. My other halfs fiesta had a knocking, checked everything and it was the jack lol.

No answer from the garage as they said they would have to listen to it (did go there for others things tbh).
