Evening all, fitted some crystal clear side repeaters and front indicators that i got off ebay at the weekend.

I was supplied with amber bulbs for each item but the 2 W5W amber bulbs i got free with the side repeaters didnt work - so i had to re-fit the standard clear bulbs. Now the repeaters flash a nice bright white colour.

But i was wondering if this was legal or not, as i thought your side-lights were supposed to flash amber for some reason? Is this ok or should i get some amber glowing ones?

If its OK as it is, would the car pass its MOT? Would be a real bummer failing the car cause of some poxy bulbs!!

yer it will both be illigal if you get pulled, and will fail a MOT, if the tester was doing a proper job, get some silver visions fitted £10
