Have seen these mentioned a few times, anyone care to give me the low down on them please.

a pipe with dumps from the wastegate (external) out under the car.

Depending on the design of the turbo and the downpipe, the wastegate outlet can interfere with the flow through the turbine. Hence separate wastegates on big installations and/or screamer pipes.

have an externally venting one on my type r, does exactly as its name...when on boost screams lyk a ******
